Rapid response from ICOM

by Claudia Klingspigl

After our letter to ICOM regarding the use of our image material without permission, the apology came immediately.

"I am very sorry if copyrights has been effected in any way. ICOM's team usually scrupulously examines and respects copyrights, and I am very sorry if this did not happen in this case." writes Dr. Peter Keller, the Director General of the International Council of Museums, to us.

We are pleased that ICOM reacted so quickly and that our image has now been retained under our name.

The picture illustrates very well that there are other suitable procedures besides nitrogen treatment to treat sensitive art and cultural assets professionally against pest infestation.
