IN-SITU TREATMENT, HMS VICTORY

In-Situ treatment

Sometimes infested objects cannot or should not be moved; be it an altar, an organ, choir stalls, or any other large or heavy object in a fragile state.

In these cases, the objects are enclosed within a custom-made insulated framework, using a special foil. Inside this “tent” numerous temperature and humidity sensors are positioned. A continuous flow of data is received from the sensors, enabling software to accurately monitor and adjust accordingly, the RH and temperature within the enclosed atmosphere in order to recreate the same conditions as in our static or mobile chambers.

This video shows an unusual in situ treatment of a painting in Southern France.
